Soul Vs Ego

As you know, I espouse Kaballah as it teaches the true work of spirituality and commitment to a spiritual consciousness. By that I mean that it actually teaches practical tools and knowledge in order to help us with the necessary spiritual work that we must undertake in order to receive the Light which is our goal or true purpose in Life.
It's called the Power of Certainty. (Christians refer to it in a similar way when they talk about "faith" in God). Power of Certainty is faith or trust in these absolute truths.
These truths may not be proved by science (yet) however any technology that is sufficiently advanced can be perceived as magic as they say, so in actual fact science just hasn't caught up yet with the technology that Kabbalah teaches but it doesn't mean that Kabbalah is not the Real Deal.
In fact Kabbalah is all about the truth, science will become the truth only if it can prove the truth of Kabbalah.
Kabbalah teaches that we must look inward, examine ourselves internally and recognise and identify the various forces within us that cause us to create negative effects ie chaos in this world.
One of these forces is of course, the Ego which is ruled by Satan, our Opponent in the Game of Life.
It's the opponent of our Soul, our true spirit. Life is a battleground, we are the gladiators but we have a choice (it's called Free Will) to choose whose side we'll fight for.
Yes, it's a fact. The ego is our enemy. This concept might be quite soul-shattering for some people, in fact downright disturbing or completely wrong. This is because the ego has convinced them that he is the one that matters.
As Kyser Soje says in the film "The Usual Suspects", "...the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince us that he doesn't exist". Bingo. That's exactly what our ego's goal in our life is.
Not only that, he tries to tell us that the soul doesn't exist either.
But this is where Kabbalah can save the day for us. It teaches us how to recognise the ego's devious little ways of making us believe in his illusions.
That's right. The ego's goal is to create illusions, or to make us believe in them, to blind us from seeing the 99% True Reality.
By listening to our ego, we remain in the 1% reality which is but a shadow of the real thing. Would you rather follow a shadow or the real thing? I know what I'd rather do!
It's like being in a virtual world almost, being in this physical universe. But if we follow the right paths and create the right causes and effects, we can overcome this physical world of time and space and reach a state of oneness with the Light, free from all negativity.
The illusions of time and space and our ego have been placed there ON PURPOSE to be the ways in which we can overcome our limitations and therefore to receive more Light in our lives. It's called The Rules of the Game.
You see we all have the desire to receive energy. This desire then creates within us two types of consciousness, ascending or descending, positive or dark, light or dark. We can always choose at each moment which way to go. We need to choose ascending consciousness and energy. We need to choose to receive the Light. And that is all that we need to do! The rest will take care of themselves. In fact we will be rewarded with Light.
For instance, Kabbalah teaches that within each of us exists our own personal Dark Holes. These Dark Holes are feelings of insecurity, and inadequacy and lack and emptiness and feelings of not being good enough that appear to be triggered by external situations or other people.
This is an illusion. The Dark Holes are inside of us. It's not the other people who are causing the negativity, but rather our own personal feelings of negativity that are being exposed.
These feelings of emptiness create within us a desire to receive and to fill it up urgently with some form of energy. However, when we do not have awareness of our thoughts, we become overcome with fear, and tend to fill up the emptiness of our Dark Holes with negative or temporary energy.
Kabbalah states that this is not the way to go. This simply creates Darker Holes, feeds the illusions, feeds the ego and injects it and empowers it with more energy.
We must learn to become aware when our Dark Holes are being triggered. We then need to observe it, stay with it, but to step aside and then command the emptiness to be filled up with Light. We need to resist going into our Dark Hole and giving into it.
By doing so we can achieve total transformation, growth and positive change. In short miracles will happen in our lives and Light and blessings will shower upon us.
Isn't that what we desire most of all?
We all have Dark Holes. We are all born with "klippots" or shells of negativity that have built up over this or perhaps many lifetimes. We must continuously break these shells and not create anymore. It's like we're all born as big piles of doo-doos. Everytime we inject light in our life a little spot turns to gold. Everytime we give in to our ego, we create another layer of poop.
Kabbalah says that by being a Giver during these Dark Hole moments, by focusing on other people and how we can give to them we can also create and inject more Light.
Just tonight I had a couple of instances where my Dark Hole was triggered. I remember in one instance that I told myself to stay positive and not to give into my insecurity and negative thoughts. Within a short space of time, all my doubts were lifted away - the person that I thought may have been deceiving me and who triggered my Dark Hole actually was thinking about me in a very positive way and I even had evidence of that shown to me without my asking for it.
It made me inspired enough to watch the replay of this particular Kabbalah topic and post this blog.
The power of Kabbalah is very real. Since I started practising its teachings I have witnessed many hundreds of little miracles if not big ones each day. And all it takes is an effort on my part to be more aware of myself and the games that my ego plays. It's about living and being in the moment. Such a little thing you might think, actually causes such a powerful transformation.
As a famous guru once said, "Every moment is a gift. That's why it's called The Present."
